Note: Aluminum requires finishing to prevent oxidation. Standard finish is chromating, which provides a durable, conductive surface. Nickel plating is also highly conductive and has been shown to improve EMI shielding effectiveness. Anodizing is preferable for panels where overlays and painting are not used, and where conductivity is not required.
