Master Scheduler / Planner
Position Summary:
Coordinate the overall plant production scheduling and product delivery in Randolph and Xiamen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee area production planners and their area schedules. Provide direction and support to address capacity constraints.
- Act as the key-manufacturing interface with sales and program management for customer requests, large volume orders, and reschedules.
- Champion On-Time Delivery providing root cause analysis and correction action for late deliveries.
- Release and reschedule work orders in the system for subassemblies, phantoms, and first run orders.
- Manage the interface of the Xiamen system with the US system. Maintain issues and receipts for completed work orders.
- Monitor planning orders in Xiamen and adjust ship dates based on a changing forecast.
- Create purchase orders and work orders for firm Xiamen sales orders.
- Process RMA’s by creating special work instructions for rework or process out of the system as scrap.
- Set-up lineals in the system. (BOM and Routing)
- Monitor actual monthly shipment forecast against monthly plan and communicate and address potential risks and issues.
Specific Qualifications:
- Must maintain positive, productive relationships with other workers in the department, supervisor, quality inspectors, and shipping. Experience working in a cross-functional team desirable.
- Must be able to work independently in both the routine function of the job and on special projects.
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills required. Previous experience in Excel and Word required.
- Experience working with a MRP system.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree required. Associate's degree (A. A.) or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
