CNC Set-Up Operater 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts
Extrusion Technology, Inc. is a leading supplier of aluminum extrusion enclosure systems and front panels to the electronics, networking, and telecommunications industry.
Position Summary
Due to company growth, we are looking for additional CNC Machine Operators who can work from drawings and stock materials at a computer numerical control (CNC) vertical milling machine with little supervision.
Duties include:
- Receive work assignments with specifications in the form of a work order, after reviewing product manufacturing documentation.
- Calculate a variety of dimensions, convert decimal dimensions into fractions, establish x/y coordinates for the piece and confirm precise measurements.
- Select and install tools for the production run, inspect the stock before production operation for scratches and imperfections and then set up the entire job.
- Run the program, monitoring for errors and editing any program for minor changes in dimensions and adjustment.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to utilize sophisticated and complex computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment
- Use simple measuring devices, computer dimensional checking equipment and common bench tools.
Education:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
